Marcial: Just to see if i have right you contacted us because until now you have not receive the order that you placed online is that correct?

Matthew Ames: yes, that is correct

Marcial: Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. Can you please give me your order number?

Marcial: It shows here on my end that your order is active and next day delivery starts from the time the device was release on our service center. On your case your supposed to receive it today or early next week.

Matthew Ames: I received an email saying that it was “ready to ship” on Wednesday, and so to me this means that the next day should have been yesterday. Your delays in releasing the device from the service centre are not my concern, and as such believe I am fully entitled to the refund.

Marcial: Once we released the device it will be the courier’s responsibilty to deliver the item on the address that is registered on the order. You can try to contact the courier so you can get the exact information about the time of delivery.

Matthew Ames: I’m not arguing that the courier is not doing their job correctly, my issue is the fact that it has been two days now since I placed the order and there’s been no sign of it even being passed on to the courier. This means that you haven’t upheld your end of the bargain.

Marcial: Shipping date is supposedly last Wednesday as per the email but the time that the next day delivery will take effect is on the date that the device was shipped out.

Matthew Ames: ok, so do you know if it has actually been shipped out?

Matthew Ames: because all I see on my end is “in progress”

Marcial: Kindly check your email periodically for the tracking number.

Matthew Ames: well I don’t have a tracking number now, which means that the device hasn’t been shipped, which means you guys owe me a refund

Marcial: If you dont receieved the device today or early next week we can request a refund for the shipping.

Matthew Ames: but I wasn’t supposed to receive today or early next week. I paid for next day, which was yesterday

Marcial: We can submit a request to refund the shipping if there is still no update within this day or early next week.

Marcial: Please allways check your email for any updates.

Matthew Ames: don’t worry, I shall do that. But I’m now also concerned that because I don’t have a shipping number, and because the nook simples are out of stock that I won’t actually receive this device for a long time.

Marcial: No worries im going to put my notes under your account for future references.

Matthew Ames: especially when you consider that I paid for next day delivery! I hope you can understand my frustration here.

Marcial: Yes i truly understand your situation, We can do something about the refund but for now please wait for the updates on your email.

Matthew Ames: I’m not going to lie to you, this seems like a get-out tactic. I was kinda hoping someone would realise the mistake and tell me that the order will now be processed as a priority, but all I’m being told is to wait

Marcial: As much as we would like to deliver the device on your address we need to follow the shipping procedure by our warehouse, Once there is a tracking number it means that your device is on its way to you.

Matthew Ames: I think it would be very good practice for someone in your department to contact the warehouse to find out what the delay is. It would certainly be a helpful piece of information to pass on to your customers.

Marcial: Is there anything else I can help you with?

Marcial: Yes dont worry we are going to monitor your order.

A lot of focus was already on Harper Row, an intelligent young woman with a background in electrical engineering and a brother she loves dearly. Having now appeared in three issues of Scott Snyder’s critically acclaimed run of Batman comics, she has built up a large fan base, praised for her willingness to stand up to Bruce and assist him, despite all his protestations and warnings that she could end up dead, or worse, at the hands of Gotham’s criminal underworld.

Despite all of that, Harper Row continued to assist the Dark Knight, cementing herself in canon and in the hearts of the fans. Her back story to date seems to run a course very similar to Tim Drake’s own origins. Tim discovered the true identity of Batman through careful detective work and very quickly deduced that Bruce was in a lot of pain after the loss of second Robin Jason Todd. Harper follows the same pattern, noticing the disappearance of Robin number 4, and calls out Bruce on his poor handling of the situation, convincing him that if he continues acting the way he is, he will surely make a mistake and end up dead. She also shows many similarities to Stephanie Brown, most notably her refusal to stand-down when told to do so by Bruce, and stays steadfast in her belief that she can do a lot of good for against crime.

Already there is a potentially huge story for Harper Row to be uncovered, but it seems that fans may be left longing. DC Comics announced that the mantle might instead go to Carrie Kelley. Originally penned by Frank Miller in The Dark Knight Returns, Carrie was the first female to be cast as Robin, though the story was set in an Elseworlds future, meaning that she was never in canon. With the death of Damian, DC has spotted the opportunity to bring the much loved character into to main story arc.  Details of her arrival and eventual role in the Bat family are sketchy at best, with writer Peter Tomasi hiding behind cryptic clues which he alone can decipher.

So if we’re being cryptic, that means things might not be as straight laced as we might have otherwise assumed. Could Carrie be the next Robin, or is there a different future for her? What other possibilities are there?

Going now on wild speculation, beyond Carrie simply becoming Robin, I believe that there are three possibilities:

1) Carrie does not take on the role of Robin, instead choosing a new name for herself, while still fighting at Batman’s side.

2) Carrie takes on a role under a different name, as above, but chooses not to fight with Batman, though is still considered part of the family.

3) Carrie and Harper team up. They have already been shown to be a similar age, and the strength of other all female team ups suggest that DC could have another killer comic on their hands.

I would dearly love for the latter to happen, maybe both of them acting under the assumed name of Robin. I mean seriously, how cool would it be to have not just two Robins, but both of them being kick-ass women?

Now that my fan boy geekgasm is out of the way, I confess that I am a little miffed at something. Once again, my homeboy, Tim Drake, has been pushed aside. I saw the “Batman and *” comics as a way to explore Bruce’s relationships with the rest of the family, and was itching for a Tim Drake lead book in Batman and Red Robin. His stories in Teen Titans have been dreadfully lacking in the finer points of his personality, and other Bat Books have all seen him with no more than two passing lines. The character of Tim Drake was so expertly crafted before DCnU, yet all of that work is now going to waste. If only we also had Stephanie Brown to get that out of him.
